State Forestry - Kirkovo is situated in the Southern part of Kardjali district. It is bounded by State Forestry -Krumovgrad on the East, State Forestry - Zlatograd on the West and Public Forestry-Momchilgrad on the North. Its border on the South tauches the border of RGreece. The total area of the woodland fond of the Forestry is 33 446 hektares, 33 370 hektares /or 99.8%/ of which are public property and the rest 76 hektares /or 0.2%/ are not state forests. 25 219.3 hektares are put under timber: 14 969.2 hektares /or 59.2%/ - coniferous forests, where white pine prevails and 10 250.1 hektares /or 40.8%/ -decideous forests, where beech-tree is predominant sort. The annual use of tumber in the Forestry is planted to be 42 915 m3. The most important representatives of the fauna here are: deer, wild-boar, jackal, fox, rock partridge, partridge, quail.
